My Story....

Way back in 1994 i acquired the nickname "Trixstr" all because I was a bit of a clown in school and had a slightly twisted sense of humor. That name would come about mainly because of the movie Brainscan featuring Edward Furlong. The villain, the Trickster had a similar twisted sense of humor and irony, and my classmates would create my alter ego so to speak. The spelling is adjusted due to the good old days of America Online and their then screen name 10-character limit.
I'm a Gen X Kid; I grew up in the 80's and 90s'. We had a sense of adventure and our imaginations were our play ground. Discovering and learning about 3D printing flipped a switch in me and reignited that sense of wonder and imagination. Can you imagine if a mysterious stranger appeared when you were a kid and handed you a box and told you anything you can imagine, you can make? Wow, just think of all the excitement and wonder that would have brought to your younger self.
I see large scale operations,"print farms" as they are called, 100s of machines just spitting out product 24/7 and I often wonder is there any magic left there? Sure having a successful business is the goal, but with the trixstrs 3d printing and design I hope to keep that magic element, that nostalgic feeling alive.
I hope little by little Trixstr's 3D Printing & Design can restore some of that wonder from decades past, tap into that nostalgia and perhaps just maybe, reignite that imagination and creativity we all have deep inside.
